Sweets for the Soul – Business Policies

 


 


We are a home-based baking business operating under Kentucky Food Cottage Laws with a Servsafe Food Manager/Food Handler License. Kitchen is not inspected by a regulatory agent and may contain major food allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, or sesame. Customers shall notify us of any food allergens.



1. Order & Payment Policy

At Sweets for the Soul, all orders must be placed in advance through our online platform or directly by contacting us. We require a non-refundable deposit of 50% at the time of ordering  to confirm and begin preparing your desserts.

  • Orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance for standard items.

  • Full payment is due the day before your order is due.

  • Custom or large orders may require additional notice and approval.

  • Accepted payment methods include: [credit/debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, etc.].

  • We DO NOT accept cash payments. 

We reserve the right to cancel any unpaid or incomplete orders.

 


 

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. However, due to the nature of our made-to-order products, the following cancellation and refund policies apply:

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery are non-refundable.

  • No-shows or missed pickups are considered cancellations and are non-refundable.

  • Shipping Orders: Once shipped, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for delays or damage caused by shipping carriers, but we will work with you to file a claim if needed.

We do not offer refunds for dissatisfaction due to taste or texture preferences, but we value your feedback and strive to ensure every product meets our quality standards.

 


 

3. Delivery & Pickup Policy

Pickup:

  • Local pickups are available Monday through Saturday, by appointment only.

  • Pickup location will be provided upon full payment being received.

  • Please arrive at the scheduled time. Late pickups may result in rescheduling or cancellation without refund.



Local Delivery:

  • Local delivery may be available upon request within a specific area and for an additional fee. Availability and rates will be confirmed during ordering.

Shipping:

  • Per Kentucky State Laws, we are only able to ship certain items. 

  • We offer shipping for select products from Monday to Wednesday only to ensure freshness and avoid weekend delays.

  • Customers will receive a tracking number upon shipment. Sweets for the Soul is not responsible for delays or damages caused by third-party carriers.
